Doug is sales director and lab planning specialist with over 35 years of experience in the laboratory furniture industry. He has expertise in project management, estimating, installations, and manufacturing of lab casework and fume hoods. Doug previously served as the Operations Manager at Hanson Lab Furniture and started his career at Norlab/Travenol Baxter Canada. He also previously owned a lab installation company and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Doug brings deep knowledge in planning, budgeting, and executing large-scale laboratory construction projects and has been associated with Hanson since 1993.

His responsibilities include managing complex preconstruction negotiations – from product design and budget development to material assessment, bid solicitation/analysis, and in-depth cost/risk evaluation. Previous companies he worked for include H2I Group, Dow Diversified and Routh Engineering. Gary’s architectural education from the University of Santo Tomas complements his hands-on experience, equipping him to deliver comprehensive preconstruction leadership.
